Es un tipo de tubo de pl\u00e1stico conocido por su flexibilidad, durabilidad y resistencia a diversos factores ambientales, como los cambios de temperatura y la corrosi\u00f3n. El PEX se utiliza habitualmente para sistemas de suministro de agua residenciales y comerciales, calefacci\u00f3n por suelo radiante e incluso sistemas de fusi\u00f3n de nieve.
